Just seen a notification that made me laugh - top ten things to do when driving in hot weather.

1. check car fluids

2. check tyres

3. plan your journey

4. get breakdown cover

5. Drink water

6. use air con

7. open windows

8. Watch our for hot tarmac

9. watch out for slippery roads

10. If your car overheats wait for it to cool!

I think they struggled for 10 items! Two good points though. If the road gets too hot the tarmac softens which means the stones are loose and if you break hard you will skid because the surface is not solid. Next one is about rain after a hot period, oils come out of the surface in hot weather, a sudden downpour means you have water and oil on the road surface so need to be careful
